Growing,
Growing, Growing, Gone
With the sun shining up above and
the tulip bulbs beginning to bloom it is time for us to plant some seeds
of our own.
Throughout these last few months of school we will put our
gardening skills to work. Our
activities will involve discussion and participation around Earth Day,
April 17 and Arbor Day, April 27. On
Arbor Day we will adopt and plant our very own class tree.
In addition to our class tree we will also be tending to our garden
where green peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, radishes, and
watermelons will be on the menu. Once
it is time to harvest you will be invited to join us at our feast.
“As
the soil, however rich it may be, cannot be productive without
cultivation, so the mind without culture can never produce good
fruit."
~ Seneca (B.C. 3-65 A.D.)

Astronomy is Out
of This World
Stop by our room and check out
our uniquely designed solar system. All
students have worked very hard at researching, designing, and creating a
planet of their choice. We
used balloons and paper mache to make the planets and used invisible fishing string
to suspend them from the ceiling. Students
also created their own constellations using glow in the dark paint.
The ceiling of our room is a unique and complete solar system that
is worth checking out.
